Harrods Jubilee

Harrods is set to unveil a pop up ball gown boutique showing designs from some of fashions biggest names including Erdem, Nina Ricci, Roberto Cavalli and Valentino.

“When asked to create a ballgown for Harrods to celebrate The Queen’s Jubilee, we were extremely honoured – not only because Harrods is a British institution with a worldwide audience, but because we love and admire British culture and its capability of blending tradition with an innovative spirit,” Valentino creative directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, said. “In our eyes, beauty and style is unique and personal, capable of arousing multiple emotions and attitudes. With this beautiful lace and tulle embroidered delicate ballgown, we feel that any woman could live a princess moment.”

The exhibition will be on display for a month from Tuesday May 15th.

Alexander McQueen AW 2012

Sarah Burton creative director at McQueen put on the most magnificent show in Paris.

I would personally describe it as a ‘Futuristic Fairytale’
Futuristic, spacey, and modern but also enchanting, magical and dreamy

Metallic waist belts bring in the oversized ensembles, making them a statement piece. I’m sure they will be at the top of many fashionistas most wanted lists for the A/W season.
The shades really broke up the feminine colours and made the look more futuristic and edgy; along with the music setting the scene, this is definitely a show not to be missed!
